Since you already have your Tax ID and Payer ID, filing on your smartphone is actually very fast. Because the Lagos (LIRS) deadline was extended to April 14, 2026, you have plenty of time to finish this in under 10 minutes.

Follow these simplified steps on your mobile browser (Chrome or Safari recommended):

    Step-by-Step Mobile Filing

    1. Access the Portal
Open etax.lirs.net(https://etax.lirs.net/) on your phone. Tap the Login button at the top right.

    2. Sign In
Enter your Payer ID (the one starting with N-) and your password.

    • If it’s your first time: Tap “Forgot Password” or “Reset” to create a new one using your registered email/phone.

    3. Start the Filing
Once on your dashboard, tap the Menu icon (usually three horizontal lines ☰) and select “Returns”, then tap “File Annual Return.”

    4. Select the Year
Choose 2025 (since you are filing for the previous year’s income in 2026).

    5. Input Your Earnings

    • If you have a job: Enter your total annual salary, allowances, and bonuses from your 2025 payslips.
    • If you are self-employed: Enter your total business income/profit for the year.
    • Reliefs: Input your Pension, NHF, or Life Insurance totals to reduce your tax.

    6. Review & Submit
The system will automatically calculate your tax. If everything looks correct, tap “Submit.” 7. Save Your Proof
Immediately download the Acknowledgment Slip (PDF). This is your digital proof that you have filed.

    Quick Smartphone Tips

    • Desktop Site Mode: If the buttons look too small or cut off, tap your browser settings (the three dots on Chrome) and select “Desktop Site.” This makes the portal easier to navigate.
    • Screenshot Everything: Take screenshots of your confirmation pages just in case your internet fluctuates during submission.
    • No VPN: Ensure any VPN is turned OFF, as the LIRS portal often blocks foreign IP addresses for security.

    Goodluck!
