No. If you already activated E-Dividend with a registrar, you do NOT need to do it again when you buy another share handled by the same registrar.
See lessHow E-Dividend Works
E-Dividend is tied to:
Your name
Your BVN
Your bank account
And Registrar
Once you activate it with a registrar, all shares under that registrar automatically use the same bank details.
Example
If you already activated E-Dividend with:
First Registrars and Investor Services Limited
and you later buy:
Access Holdings Plc
United Bank for Africa
If both shares are managed by First Registrars, you don’t need another E-Dividend registration.
When You MUST Do Another E-Dividend
You only need to register again if:
You buy shares under a different registrar
Example:
Coronation Registrars Limited
Africa Prudential Plc
Meristem Registrars Limited
Each different registrar = new E-Dividend mandate
Pro Tip (Important)
To avoid missing dividends:
Try to activate E-Dividend with all major registrars once
After that, you never worry again
