Just like they stated it would be used to expand company production and manufacturing. Like the amount of crude refined a day would be doubled and transportation and distribution of products

To do this you go through licensed brokers, it can be a bank or an application.

Then stocks is entirely different. In stocks you own shares of different companies like GtCo, Zenith, Access corps, seplat energy and MTN as well as many more

Now to do this you go through licensed brokers like zedcrest and meristem. You can check their eligibility through the SEC website.

But before going into any you do a brutal study

Emergency Funds is a nice idea 💡 not to doubt but there are investment portfolio that allows you invest and take your money anytime. Like take for example money market mutual funds. Your Money is growing and when you want to take it you can take it within 24 hours but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have some money in your account

Take for example if you have 100,000 naira and you want to save
    Put 30k in mutual funds
    20k in your emergency
Then from your 50k you settle all your needs

I did say put 50k in mutual funds because if you should put 50k in mutual funds you would struggle to save why because you may have to remove along the line just to settle scores
Which is why Sir ikingferry said 10% which is 10k but people thinks it’s small

So please invest and save but don’t over keep cash in a bank account so it doesn’t lose value

Savings account keeps your money dormant and gives little addition and your money loses value to inflation and with that you tend to preserve an amount but tends to lose buying power in the later future should the government not get any better which is not what we pray for but we plan accordingly with reality

With Treasury Bill I believe ikingferry has explained it multiple times. With it you money grows because you borrow the government and they give you an interest. Ikingferry made a post on Facebook I think yesterday that the government wants to borrow our money and pay us 15.5% interest so with that you see your money is preserved then growing

After Treasury Bill you can even invest in equity funds or mutual funds. So savings account is a no but treasury is good and you have to go through licensed brokers.

Investing in illiquid investments is a good idea. But one thing you should know is this. Don’t get a land and be stranded in paying rent

If you must buy a land get a land in an area that has development potential. Like a place where you see people coming to invest not a dormant place where for you to maybe sell it later would be a problem and also

That money can be invested in mutual funds and grow. You can even get increase and your money is preserved.

A land can later be claimed later if you don’t follow legal procedures and even if you follow legal procedures a government can take it in our country so just go in mutual funds for now.
