Try the CSCS portal’s password-recovery option. The current CSCS portal provides a “Forgot Password” option and asks for details including the username and CHN.

If the account itself is inactive or dormant, CSCS has a formal account re-opening service for previously closed, inactive or dormant accounts. This can restore the account so the investor can resume trading and receive dividends.

If the main problem is unpaid dividends, the investor should contact the registrar of the company that declared the dividend. CSCS specifically advises investors to contact their registrars for dividend and bonus claims.

You should also make sure their e-dividend mandate/bank details are properly registered and up to date. E-dividend registration is what allows dividends to be paid directly into the nominated bank account.

Once upon a time in a small village, there was Mama Ngozi, a hardworking tomato seller. She had a little savings she wanted to invest in the stock market through her CSCS account to grow her money and secure her future. Mama Ngozi was excited about the opportunity to receive dividends, but she faced a challenge after the migration to e-dividend.

When Mama Ngozi realized she wasn’t receiving her annual payments into her CSCS account, she sought help to recover her account and continue receiving her dividends. Here’s how you can navigate through this situation, just like Mama Ngozi:

    1. Contact your Stockbroker: The first step is to reach out to the stockbroker that helped you set up your CSCS account. They will guide you on the recovery process and provide any necessary assistance.

    2. Update Your Information: Ensure that all your details, especially your bank account information, are up to date and linked correctly with your CSCS account. This is crucial for receiving dividends seamlessly.

    3. Verify Migration Status: Confirm with your stockbroker if your account successfully completed the migration to e-dividend. If not, they can assist you in completing this process.

    4. Submit Necessary Documents: Be prepared to submit any required documents or forms for account recovery or update. Your stockbroker will inform you of the specific documents needed.

    5. Stay Informed: Keep in touch with your stockbroker regularly to stay updated on the progress of your account recovery and dividend payments.

By following these steps and staying proactive like Mama Ngozi, you can recover your CSCS account and ensure you continue to receive your annual dividends without any hindrance. Remember, just like in the village market, it’s essential to stay informed and engaged in your investments to reap the benefits they offer.

So, don’t worry; just like Mama Ngozi, with a little guidance and persistence, you’ll soon be back on track to receive your dividends and grow your investment portfolio. Happy investing!
