Short answer: Yes — you should still add your bank account on DataMax portal.
    Here’s why 👇
Why You Still Need to Add Your Bank Account
Your brokerage account (InvestNaija / Chapel Hill Denham) is different from your Registrar account (DataMax Registrars Ltd).
    They serve different roles:
Broker (InvestNaija / Chapel Hill Denham) → Used to buy/sell shares
Registrar (DataMax Registrars Ltd) → Used to pay dividends & maintain shareholder records
So even if you already added Access Bank details in your brokerage, DataMax may not automatically have it.
    According to DataMax FAQ:
You must mandate your bank details for e-dividend payments
Dividends are paid directly to your bank account
Bank details must be validated on NIBSS before dividend payment
This means: 👉 If you don’t add bank details on DataMax portal,
👉 You may not receive dividends.
    What “Add Account” Usually Means
When you see Add Account on DataMax dashboard, it usually means:
    Add Bank account for dividend
Or add CSCS account / share account
    Or link shareholding records
This is normal — even if you already added details elsewhere.
    My Recommendation (Best Practice)
    To avoid dividend issues:
✔ Add the same Access Bank account again
✔ Make sure Name matches your share account
    ✔ Complete e-dividend mandate
    This prevents:
    Dividend delay
    Unclaimed dividend
    Payment failure
DataMax also confirms dividend delays happen if:
    Name mismatch
    Incorrect account
    Bank not validated on NIBSS
    One More Important Thing
    Sometimes:
Your shares may not yet be with DataMax
    Some companies use different registrars
    Example:
    GTCO → DataMax
AccessCorp → Another registrar (often Coronation)
So you may not need DataMax for all your shares.
