    Capital gain and dividend payment.

However, expect both in the market as you know. Futures operation determines the growth of the company for them to declare dividends

    What a fantastic question…
This is basically the need for fundamental analysis as iking ferry would say.

Fundamental analysis includes, understanding what the company or industry does to make money, check their cash flow and operation over the years to understand if they are making profit or not.

Don’t stop there, check their debt ratio to their cash flow and how they operate because understanding the business is just same as doing the business because you don’t want to invest like a speculators.

    Understand their dividend strength.
Ask yourself while doing the perquisites.
    What is their cash flow?
Are they making money or not?
Will they still have value in year to come or not?
What is their float ratio cos it is really important you understand their float ratio for easier withdrawal of your money.

And another thing I suggest is that you buy the beginner course of stock market in fokona so that you understand the fundamental analysis needed before investing in any stock.

Before doing anything, find out your existing CHN.
You can obtain your CHN from your existing broker or through the relevant CSCS account information available to you.
This is important because you want the new broker to know that:
“I am an existing investor. I already have a CHN.”
Don’t simply assume that because you have opened a new brokerage account, you need a brand-new CHN.
Confirm your new CSCS account details
Ask your new broker for the details of the CSCS account opened for you.
    You may have:
    Old broker
    Existing CHN
    Existing CSCS account number
    New broker
    Same CHN
    New CSCS account number
That situation can be perfectly normal.
The important thing is to make sure your personal information is correctly

Tell the new broker you have existing holdings
    Contact your new stockbroker.
    Tell them clearly:
“I have existing shares with another stockbroker and I want to transfer them to my account with you.”

    Complete the required transfer documentation
Your broker may require you to complete a securities transfer form or other documentation.
The exact requirements can vary depending on the broker and the type of transfer.
You may be asked for information such as:
    Your name
    CHN
    Old CSCS account details
    New CSCS account details
    Stockbroker details
    The shares you want transferred
    Your signature
    Identification documents, where required
Your broker should tell you exactly what is required.

Then, Wait for the transfer to be processed
After the required documents and instructions have been submitted, the transfer has to be processed.
    It may not happen instantly.
So don’t assume that something is wrong simply because you don’t see the shares in your new broker’s app immediately.
Allow the relevant parties to process the transfer.
If it takes longer than the timeframe your broker gave you, contact them and ask for an update.

CHN (Clearing House Number) is your unique investor identifier with CSCS. It is associated with you as an investor and is generally intended to remain the same when you open accounts with different stockbroking firms.
CSCS account number identifies the particular account/relationship opened for you through a stockbroker. You can have different CSCS account numbers with different brokers while your CHN remains the same.
Therefore, if InvestNaija and Zedcrest have given you different CSCS account numbers but the same CHN, that is not, by itself, a problem. It can be consistent with having accounts with two different brokers.
The part I would not state as a certainty is:
Zedcrest rejected it because they needed to create their own CSCS account.”
That may well be what happened, but only Zedcrest/CSCS can confirm the exact reason for the initial rejection.
    So the safest conclusion is:
If your Zedcrest account is now active, the CHN shown by Zedcrest matches your existing CHN, and the CSCS account number is different, there is generally no reason to be worried simply because the CSCS number changed.
One additional thing: having two brokers does not necessarily mean you have two separate ownership identities. Your securities and investor identification can still be linked to you through your CHN.
So I would tell Oga Omotoso:
“Nothing necessarily went wrong. A different CSCS account number from Zedcrest does not mean you have a different CHN or a different investor identity. If Zedcrest’s CHN matches your existing CHN and the account is properly registered, the different CSCS account number can be normal for an account opened through another broker. The only thing worth confirming is that both accounts are correctly linked to the same CHN and that your holdings are showing correctly.
