In as much as it is difficult to start a business without cash, It is not entirely impossible.

If I were to start a business and it happens that I don’t have cash for it. These are the steps I would take:

    1. I would figure out the business I want to do first before anything else.
    2. I would look for a business person that does that kind of business and where they are located. Then I would meet with the person to pitch my idea to him/her on how I can help them get more customers. Through (affiliate marketing).
    3. Then everyday I come to the market and help source for customers for that person. Take pictures of the goods and market online too. I would do this consistently for 6 months to 1 year with truth, faithfulness and integrity. So as to win the person’s trust.
    4. After let’s say a year, I will tell the person about my intentions to start out my own business but that maybe somewhere else because of competition.
    5. He/she may give me goods on credit considering the fact that I have shown loyalty and integrity over time. Then I start mine. Selling both online and offline and keep reinvesting my profit even while maintaining a cordial relationship with my supplier.

With loyalty, integrity, commitment, profit reinvesting, and time one can build an empire without money.

This is a very thoughtful and intelligent question. In my own opinion, The both are good investments but they are not same type, If someone have only #1 million the best option cannot be to invest everything on stock market. This is because it is risky and at the same time he/she should not invest everything on business. So, the best option is to decide the kind of business and first learn about the business very well for at least 6 months to one year, This is to help them build experience and knowledge about the business before starting out. Then you can allocate about 40% for the business, then 30% for stock investment. The remaining 30% should be kept as a reserve incase of unforseen circumstances. This i think is the best approach to the question. Thank you.
