Why Is My FGN Bond Not Reflecting in My InvestNaija App After Investing in Nigeria?

This is usually a processing, settlement, or integration issue between the bond allotment system, CSCS, and the broker platform — not necessarily that your investment failed.
See lessSince you said you invested in the February 2026 FGN Bond, here are the most likely causes:
The bond has not yet been linked to your CSCS/CHN properly
InvestNaija has not synced the fixed-income asset to their app dashboard
Your broker purchased it manually/off-platform
Settlement/allotment delay from the registrar or CSCS
You used a different CHN or name variation during subscription
FGN Savings Bonds are normally registered through the depository system (CSCS).
The February 2026 FGN Savings Bond allotment was completed around February 11, 2026.
So by now, it should ordinarily appear somewhere in your holdings if everything matched correctly.
Here is how to diagnose the exact issue:
1. Confirm the investment was actually allotted
Check:
Debit alert from your bank
Contract note/email
Allotment confirmation
DMO or broker acknowledgment
If your money was debited but later refunded, then your subscription may not have been successful.
2. Check whether the bond exists on your CSCS account
This is the most important step.
Your FGN Bond may already be sitting inside your CSCS account even though InvestNaija is not displaying it.
You can:
Check your CSCS statement
Use the CSCS mobile app/portal
Request your stockbroker to send your full CSCS holdings statement
FGN Bonds are maintained within the CSCS infrastructure.
If the bond appears there, then the issue is only an app-display/integration issue from InvestNaija.
3. Possible CHN mismatch
This is very common in Nigeria.
Example:
Your InvestNaija account uses one CHN
The FGN bond was bought using another broker/CHN
Result: the bond will not reflect inside InvestNaija
Ask InvestNaija support:
“Please confirm the CHN used for my February 2026 FGN Bond subscription and whether it matches my portfolio CHN.”
4. Some broker apps do not display fixed-income securities properly
Many Nigerian investment apps are optimized mainly for:
equities,
ETFs,
mutual funds,
while bonds may:
appear separately,
appear only on statements,
or not display at all.
A Reddit discussion even noted that some Nigerian platforms handle bond transactions manually or outside the normal trading dashboard.
5. Contact InvestNaija support with exact details
Send:
Your full name
CHN
Subscription date
Amount invested
Bond tenor (2-year or 3-year)
Evidence of debit/payment
Ask them specifically:
Was the bond allotted?
Which CHN was used?
Why is it not reflecting?
Is it visible at CSCS level?
Important clarification
FGN Bonds are not like normal savings accounts where you “withdraw anytime.”
You generally:
hold till maturity and receive coupon payments periodically, OR
sell through the secondary market via your broker.
The February 2026 FGN Savings Bond pays quarterly coupons.
