If you bought Zenith Bank Plc shares through investbamboo.com last year and still have not received dividends, the problem is usually not Bamboo itself.
In Nigeria, dividends are paid through the company’s registrar — for Zenith Bank, that is Veritas Registrars Limited.
    The most common reasons are:
    No e-dividend mandate was completed
Your bank details are wrong or outdated
    Name mismatch between:
    BVN
    CSCS account
    bank account
    Bamboo/KYC records
Your CSCS account was not properly linked
You bought after the qualification date for that dividend
A very important point: Owning shares on Bamboo does NOT automatically guarantee your dividend setup is complete. Nigerian NGX shares still depend heavily on:
    CSCS records
    registrar records
    e-dividend registration
    What You Should Do Immediately
    Step 1: Confirm You Qualified
    Check:
the exact date you bought Zenith shares
    the dividend qualification date
If you bought after the qualification date, you will not receive that particular dividend.
Step 2: Check If Your E-Dividend Is Active
Zenith dividends are normally paid electronically now.
If you never completed e-dividend registration, your dividend may now be sitting as “unclaimed dividend.”
    Step 3: Contact Bamboo Support
    Ask them specifically:
Is my CSCS account correctly linked?
    Has my CHN been activated?
Is my e-dividend mandate active for Zenith Bank shares?
    Do not just say:
    “I did not receive dividend.”
    Ask those exact operational questions.
Step 4: Contact the Registrar Directly
For Zenith Bank shares, contact: Veritas Registrars Limited
    You will likely need:
    CHN number
    BVN
    valid ID
    bank details
    CSCS statement or contract note
Their records ultimately control the dividend payment process.
    Another Possibility
    If you recently changed:
    bank account
    phone number
    surname
    BVN details
the dividend payment may have failed because of verification mismatch. This is extremely common in Nigeria’s e-dividend system.
    Important
    Do not panic yet.
In most cases, the dividend is recoverable once:
    the registrar updates your records
    your e-dividend gets validated
    your bank details match properly
Many investors eventually receive theirs after registrar correction or bank revalidation. Community discussions around delayed dividends often end with payment arriving after verification fixes.

What Should I Do If My NIDF Dividend Has Not Been Credited to My Bank Account?

If you received the January 2026 NIDF distribution but have not received the May 2026 one yet, the issue is usually one of these:
Payment is still processing through banks/registrar
NIDF’s latest distribution payment date was May 6, 2026.
In Nigeria, some investors receive dividends same day, while others receive them 1–3 working days later depending on:
    bank processing speed
    registrar upload timing
    broker/CSCS reconciliation
Your bank details may have a mismatch Since you received January’s payment, your e-dividend mandate is probably active. But problems can still occur if:
    your bank account was changed
name mismatch exists between CSCS and bank account
    BVN issue occurred
    account is dormant/restricted
You may have bought additional units after qualification date For this payment, qualification/record date was around April 28, 2026.
Any units bought after the qualification date would not receive this quarter’s distribution.
Registrar delay NIDF’s registrar is: Coronation Registrars
Sometimes a few accounts fail during bulk payment processing and are reprocessed later.
    Cowrywise
    What you should do now:
Wait till end of today or tomorrow morning first.
Check the exact number of units you held before April 28.
Confirm the bank account linked to your CSCS is active.
    Then contact:
    your stockbroker, or
    the registrar directly.
    You can tell them:
    your full name
    CSCS number
    NIDF holdings
that January distribution was received successfully but May 2026 distribution has not reflected.

Short answer: You don’t need to fill a separate e-dividend form for every company—but you also cannot rely on your broker (like InvestNaija) alone.
Let’s clarify the structure so you don’t make mistakes.
🧾 How e-Dividend actually works in Nigeria
    Dividends are handled by:
    Registrars (not your broker)
    Examples:
    Datamax Registrars Limited
First Registrars & Investor Services Limited
    Your shares are held in:
    Central Securities Clearing System Plc
👉 So the flow is: Company → Registrar → Your bank account
⚠️ Key issue most investors miss
Each company can have a different registrar.
    So if you own:
    GTCO → Registrar A
    Zenith → Registrar B
    Dangote Cement → Registrar C
👉 Without a proper mandate, you may need to deal with each separately.
✅ The correct modern solution (VERY IMPORTANT)
You should use the SEC e-Dividend Mandate Management System (eDMMS) via your bank.
    Through:
    Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria
    👉 This allows you to:
    Fill ONE mandate
    Link it to your BVN
Cover ALL your shares across all registrars
🏦 How to do it properly (best method)
Option 1 (Recommended): Through your bank
    Go to your bank and:
    Request e-dividend mandate form
    Fill using:
    BVN
    Bank account
    Signature
👉 This automatically applies across registrars
Option 2: Online via registrar portals
    You can also:
Fill forms on each registrar’s website
    👉 But this is:
    Stressful
    Repetitive
Not necessary if you use BVN method
    ❌ What about InvestNaija?
    👉 Important:
InvestNaija is a broker, not a registrar
    So:
    They help you buy shares
But they do NOT control dividend payment setup
👉 Meaning: Setting it in InvestNaija alone is NOT enough
🔥 What you should do now (clear action)
    Since you already invested:
    Go to your bank
    Ask for: 👉 “E-dividend mandate form (BVN-based)”
    Fill and submit
    Confirm activation
    ⏳ After activation
Future dividends → paid directly to your bank
Old unpaid dividends → can be claimed
    🧠 Bottom line (no confusion)
❌ Not per company (if using BVN system)
❌ Not handled by InvestNaija alone
✔️ Best method = one BVN-linked mandate via your bank

Yes—what you experienced is very possible, and it actually tells you something important about how dividends are handled in Nigeria.
Let’s go straight to the core.
🔑 Key fact: Your broker ≠ your dividend payment instruction
In Nigeria, dividends are NOT controlled by your brokerage app.
    They are handled by:
The company’s registrar (e.g. Datamax Registrars Limited)
    And your E-Dividend Mandate
🔍 Why your money went to Fidelity instead of Access
Even if you used Access Bank in your broker app:
👉 The registrar will ONLY pay based on the bank account linked to your E-Dividend Mandate / CHN
    So what likely happened:
You previously registered (or someone helped you register)
Your Fidelity Bank account is the one on your CSCS/E-Dividend record
That is where all dividends are sent
🧠 Important structure (this is where people get confused)
    There are 3 separate systems:
    1. Brokerage App (what you used to buy shares)
    Used for buying/selling
Bank here is for funding trades only
    2. Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS)
    Holds your shares
Linked to your CHN (Clearing House Number)
    3. Registrar + E-Dividend Mandate
    Controls dividend payments
    Uses:
    Your bank account
    Your BVN
    Your CHN
👉 This is the real payment instruction system
⚠️ So is this an error?
    No. It means:
Your Fidelity account is the active dividend mandate on file
🚨 When this becomes a problem
If it’s an old or inactive account
If it’s someone else’s account (rare but serious)
If you want to control where dividends go
✅ What you should do now
Step 1 — Confirm your mandate
    Log into:
Registrar portal (e.g. Datamax if that’s your registrar)
    Check:
    Bank name
    Account number
Step 2 — Update if needed
If you want dividends in Access Bank:
    Fill E-Dividend Mandate Form
    Submit through:
    Your registrar OR
    Your broker OR
    Your bank
Step 3 — Ensure all your stocks are linked
    Make sure:
All your holdings are under one CHN
    Same BVN is used everywhere
    💡 Very important insight
    Many Nigerians think:
    “My broker controls my dividends”
    That is wrong.
    👉 Reality:
    Broker = trading
    Registrar = dividends
🧾 Why you should actually be happy
    Your dividend was not lost
    Your mandate is working correctly
You’ve just discovered where your real payment setup is
    Bottom line
Yes, dividends can go to a different bank than your brokerage app
Payment is based on your E-Dividend mandate (not your broker details)
Your Fidelity account is currently your official dividend account

To check your e-dividend registration status in Nigeria, you’re essentially verifying whether your bank details are properly linked to your shareholdings so dividends can be paid electronically.
There are 3 reliable ways to do this:
✅ 1. Use the SEC E-Dividend Portal (Most Direct)
Go to the official platform of the Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria
    What to do:
    Visit the SEC e-dividend portal
    Enter:
    Your surname
Or company name you invested in
    What you’ll see:
    Whether you have:
    Unclaimed dividends
    Active e-dividend mandate
    Registrar handling your shares
👉 If your details show bank info → you’re already registered
👉 If not → you need to enroll
✅ 2. Check Through Your Registrar
Each company has a registrar (they handle dividends).
    Example:
NGX Group Plc → handled by a registrar like Datamax or others
Access Holdings Plc → has its own registrar
    What to do:
    Visit registrar website OR office
    Search using:
    Your name
    Shareholder number
    👉 They will show:
    Dividend history
    Whether e-dividend is active
    ✅ 3. Through Your Stockbroker / CSCS
    If you use:
    InvestNaija (Chapel Hill Denham)
    Or any broker
    Ask them directly:
“Please confirm if my CSCS account is linked to e-dividend and my mandate is active.”
    👉 They can:
    Check backend records
Tell you if your bank details are linked
🔍 How to know your status (very important)
    Situation
    Meaning
You receive dividends directly in bank
    ✅ Already active
    You see unpaid dividends
    ❌ Not fully registered
    No record found
❌ Not registered or name mismatch
⚠️ Common issues (why people think they registered but didn’t)
    Name mismatch (bank vs shares)
    BVN not linked
    Multiple registrars not covered
    Form submitted but not processed
🛠️ If you are NOT registered
    Do this:
    Fill e-dividend mandate form
    Submit via:
    Your bank
    Your broker
    Registrar
👉 Or use the updated SEC online system
    ✔️ Straight advice for you
Since you’re already investing via InvestNaija:
    👉 Fastest route:
    Ask Chapel Hill Denham to:
    Confirm your e-dividend status
Help you activate it if not done
