Once upon a time in a small village in Nigeria, Mama Ngozi, a wise tomato seller, had a dream to secure a bright financial future for her unborn child. She wanted to buy shares for her little one even before they arrived into the world.

To achieve this lovely goal, Mama Ngozi needed to take a few simple steps. First, she had to open an investment account in her name. This account would act as a safe space where she could hold shares or other investments for her child. Mama Ngozi could visit a stockbroker or an investment platform to help her with this process.

Next, Mama Ngozi should plan for how the shares would be transferred to her child when they are born. It’s essential to ensure a smooth transition of ownership. Mama Ngozi would need to provide details about her child when registering the account, so the shares can be easily transferred when the time comes.

As the little one grows, Mama Ngozi could teach them about the world of investing and help them understand the value of owning shares in different companies. This early exposure to investing could set her child on a path towards financial literacy and independence in the future.

By diligently following these steps, Mama Ngozi could sow the seeds of financial prosperity for her unborn child, giving them a head start in building wealth and securing a bright financial future. And so, Mama Ngozi’s dream of buying shares for her child before they were born became a beautiful reality.

After the child is born, you can open a minor investment account with the child as the beneficiary/holder and continue investing for them. I would recommend speaking with a registered Nigerian stockbroker to confirm the exact documentation and transfer. Thank you.
