Yes, this information is correct and real.

Dangote Cement has proposed a dividend of ₦45 per share for 2026 (for 2025 results), but it is still subject to approval at the AGM

    Key Dates You Must Understand

    • Qualification date: June 17, 2026

    • Payment date: July 2, 2026

    What This Means…

    To receive the ₦45 dividend:
You must buy and hold the shares before June 17, 2026.

If your name is on the company register on that date, you will be paid.

    For Example:

    If you have:

    • 1,000 shares = you get ₦45,000

    • 2,000 shares = you get ₦90,000

    (Simple multiplication: shares × ₦45)

But dont Forget that the Government will collect 10% Withholding Tax on your Dividend.

Here are the Important Things Many Beginners Miss

    • After qualification date, the stock price may drop slightly (because dividend is removed from price)

    • Dividend is not “free money”- it is part of your return

    • You must have e-dividend setup to receive payment in your bank

What It Means for You as an Investor

    • This is income from owning a good company

    • It rewards long-term investors, not quick traders

    • It shows the company is making strong profit

    Please:

Don’t chase dividend alone, own good businesses, and let the dividend follow.

Your shares are not lost, they are stored with the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS).

Investors are given a CSCS number, and also a Clearing House Number (CHN).

CSCS is Nigeria’s central depository for stocks, while CHN is your unique identifier assigned to you upon registering with a stockbroker. It’s your ID number in the stock market.

Your shares are stored with the CSCS under your unique CHN.

Use your clearing house number (CHN)  to log into the CSCS platform, you can view your holdings via that platform.

Also, you can also identify the Registrar of your shares and fill the e-dividend mandate form.

If you have any unclaimed dividend under that stock, it will be visible and you can then claim it.

Stocks have different Registrars, identify the Registrar of the stocks you held or currently holding and claim your dividend if any…
