Are Dividends From Stocks Like MTN and Dangote Considered Riba (Interest) in Islamic Finance?

I want to buy shares in companies like MTN or Dangote, but I’m worried about the yearly payments (Dividends). Is a dividend the same thing as the interest a bank gives you? I want to avoid Riba at all costs.
