Buying shares in different investment apps like Bamboo or other platforms is like Mama Ngozi deciding to sell her tomatoes in different markets. Just as Mama Ngozi can choose to sell some of her tomatoes in Alaba International Market, some in Oshodi Market, and even more in Onitsha Main Market, an investor can choose to buy Dangote shares on different investment apps.

Each investment app is like a different market where you can buy and sell shares. So, buying Dangote shares on Bamboo is similar to buying Dangote shares on another platform. It’s like Mama Ngozi selling her tomatoes in Alaba International Market versus selling them in another market – the tomatoes are the same, but the experience may be different.

When you buy shares on different investment apps, you are still buying a piece of Dangote’s company, just like when you buy tomatoes from Mama Ngozi, you are getting a piece of her farm produce. However, remember that each app may have its own features, fees, and customer experience, so it’s essential to consider these factors when choosing where to buy your shares.

Just like Mama Ngozi would compare the prices and customers at different markets before deciding where to sell her tomatoes, you should compare the features, fees, and reliability of different investment apps before choosing where to buy your shares. This way, you can make an informed decision and ensure that you are getting the best value for your investment, just like Mama Ngozi does when she sells her tomatoes in different markets to maximize her profit.

you can potentially subscribe to the Dangote Refinery IPO through different investment apps, but there is an important distinction between subscribing to the IPO and buying the shares later on the stock market.
As of 17 September 2026, the Dangote Refinery IPO is open from 14 September to 13 October 2026, at ₦525 per share, with a minimum of 10 shares (₦5,250).
The IPO for the People +1
    1. You can use different approved platforms
The IPO has officially approved receiving agents/electronic channels. Reports on the approved list include platforms such as Bamboo, InvestNaija, Moniepoint, Paga, Payaza, PiggyVest, Vetiva Invest and NGX Invest, among others.
    Pulse Ghana +1
So, for example, you could have:
InvestNaija → subscribe to Dangote IPO
Bamboo → subscribe to Dangote IPO
Another approved platform → subscribe separately
However, don’t assume that every investment app can accept the IPO. The SEC specifically says investors should use only officially approved channels.

    2. Can you buy ₦5,250 on Bamboo AND ₦5,250 on InvestNaija?
In principle, yes, if both platforms accept your applications and you meet their requirements.
    For example:
    Platform
    Application
    Amount
    Bamboo
    10 shares
    ₦5,250
    InvestNaija
    10 shares
    ₦5,250
    Total applied for
    20 shares
    ₦10,500
But remember: applying for 20 shares does not necessarily mean you will receive all 20. The final allotment depends on the IPO’s allotment process.
Bamboo itself confirms that its Dangote IPO subscription can be made through the app and that additional subscriptions can be made in multiples of 10.

    3. One important thing I would recommend
If your intention is to apply through multiple apps simply to increase your chances of getting shares, be careful about creating duplicate CSCS/brokerage records or submitting inconsistent information.
Since you’ve previously had a CSCS-number duplication issue with investment platforms, I’d be particularly careful to ensure that your BVN, NIN, CHN/CSCS information and personal details are consistent across applications.
Also, use only the official approved channels; the SEC warns against sending IPO money to individuals or unapproved platforms.
