How Can I Find My CHN Number on Cowrywise in Nigeria?

I received an account to connect my bank to my cowrywise but they said I should transfer 50 naira and my app transfer 100 naira minimum and I transferred it. Does it affect my cscs because I transferred over to the account number because they said I must transfer from my ecobank. Does it also mean they are trying to open cscs account for me. Also do marketplace close

You’re mixing three different systems (Cowrywise, bank verification, and CSCS), so let’s separate them clearly and remove the confusion. 1. You’re mixing three different systems (Cowrywise, bank verification, and CSCS), so let’s separate them clearly and remove the confusion.
    1. CHN Number on Cowrywise — Important Truth
You will NOT find any CHN (CSCS number) on Cowrywise.
    That’s because:
Cowrywise deals in mutual funds, not stocks
CSCS is only for stocks and bonds held in the Nigerian capital market
    Your CHN is issued by
    Central Securities Clearing System
👉 Only through stockbrokers, not Cowrywise
    ✔ So:
    No CHN on Cowrywise
No CSCS account is created there
    2. The ₦50 / ₦100 Transfer — What It Means
That transfer is NOT investment and NOT CSCS-related.
It is simply: 👉 Bank account verification (proof of ownership)
    What happened:
    Cowrywise asked for ₦50
    Your bank forced ₦100 minimum
    You sent ₦100
✔ That is completely fine ✔ It does NOT affect anything negatively ✔ It does NOT impact CSCS
    3. Are They Opening CSCS for You?
    👉 No. Not at all.
    Cowrywise:
    Does NOT open CSCS accounts
Does NOT deal with NGX stocks directly
They only help you invest in:
    Money Market Funds
    Mutual Funds
    4. Why They Asked You to Use Ecobank
This is just: 👉 Name matching / KYC verification
    They want:
Your Cowrywise name = Your bank account name
    It reduces:
    Fraud
    Third-party funding issues
    5. “Marketplace Close” — What It Means
On Cowrywise, “Marketplace closed” usually means:
    Fund subscriptions are temporarily unavailable
    Could be:
    Outside working hours
    Weekend
Fund manager not accepting new inflows at that moment
✔ It is normal ✔ It will reopen automatically
    6. Big Clarification (Very Important for You)
    Right now you have:
    A. Cowrywise
    Mutual funds
    No CSCS
    No stocks
    B. Stockbroker (your earlier issue)
    Should have CSCS
    Where your stock problems are
👉 These two systems are completely separate
    7. What You Should Do Going Forward
    For Cowrywise:
    You’re safe to continue
Start with MMF if you want stability
    Use it for low-risk savings/investment
    For Stocks / Bonds:
    Fix your CSCS issue separately
    Use a proper broker for:
    Shares
    FGN Bonds
    Bottom Line
❌ Cowrywise does NOT give CHN
❌ Your ₦100 transfer has NO negative effect
❌ No CSCS account is being opened there
    ✔ It’s only bank verification
    ✔ “Marketplace closed” is normal
