Important Clarification About Dividends on Bamboo
There are two different situations:
1. Nigerian Stocks on Bamboo NGX
If you buy Nigerian shares through Bamboo’s NGX section:
dividends are usually paid into your CSCS-linked bank account/E-dividend account, not directly into Bamboo wallet in many cases.
This depends on:
the stock registrar,
your CSCS setup,
and Bamboo’s custodial arrangement.
For Nigerian stocks, your bank details usually need to be correctly linked through:
CSCS,
registrar,
or E-dividend mandate.
2. U.S. Stocks and REITs on Bamboo
If you buy:
U.S. dividend stocks,
ETFs,
or REITs,
then dividends normally enter your:
Bamboo USD wallet first.
After that:
you manually withdraw to your Nigerian bank account.
So Bamboo does not automatically “sweep” dividends straight into your bank account like Nigerian registrars do.
How to Set Your Bamboo Withdrawal Bank Account
Inside the Bamboo app:
Open Bamboo app.
Go to:
Profile/Account
Open:
Wallet
or Withdraw/Transfer section
Add your Nigerian bank account.
Ensure:
your bank name,
account number,
and account name exactly match your Bamboo KYC identity.
Bamboo does not allow third-party withdrawals.

How Dividend Withdrawal Works on Bamboo
Suppose:
you own a U.S. REIT,
it pays $5 dividend.
The flow is usually:
REIT → Bamboo USD Wallet → Your Bamboo NGN/USD Wallet → Your Bank Account
You then withdraw manually.
How to Withdraw to Your Bank
After dividends arrive:
Open Bamboo.
Go to:
NGN wallet or USD wallet.
Click:
Transfer/Withdraw.
Select:
Transfer to bank account.
Enter amount.
Confirm with transaction PIN.
Bamboo says withdrawals below ₦1,000,000 may reflect instantly in some cases; otherwise within about 1 business day for NGN withdrawals.

Very Important Thing Many People Miss

If you funded with:

withdrawals may need to go to:
USD/domiciliary accounts proportionally.

How to Confirm Your Bank Account Is Properly Linked
Try this:
Go to Wallet
Click Withdraw/Transfer
If your bank account already appears selectable, then it is likely linked already.
If no bank account appears:
add one manually.
If You Want “Automatic” Dividend Reception
For:
Nigerian shares → use E-dividend mandate with registrars.
U.S. stocks on Bamboo → dividends first land in Bamboo wallet, then you withdraw manually.
That is the normal structure on Bamboo.
