✅ Step-by-step: Wallet → Investment Portfolio (InvestNaija)
1. Log into your InvestNaija app
Open the app
Enter your login details
2. Go to your Wallet
Locate “Wallet” or “Cash Balance”
Confirm the amount you already funded is showing there
👉 If it’s not showing, the issue is funding—not portfolio transfer.
3. Navigate to “Invest” or “Portfolio”
Tap “Invest”, “Trade”, or “Portfolio”
This is where actual investments are executed
4. Choose what you want to invest in
You’ll typically see options like:
Stocks (e.g., GTCO, Zenith Bank, etc.)
Mutual funds (if available)
5. Select the asset (e.g., a stock)
Tap the stock you want
Click “Buy”
6. Enter purchase details
Input:
Number of shares OR amount
The system will calculate total cost
7. Select payment source
Choose “Wallet Balance” as your funding source
👉 This is the critical step where funds move from wallet → investment
8. Confirm transaction
Review details
Click “Confirm Buy”
9. Order execution
If market is open:
Order may execute immediately or within the day
If market is closed:
Order will queue for next trading session
10. Check your portfolio
Go back to Portfolio
Your purchased asset should appear (or show as pending)
🔍 Important clarifications
Wallet vs Portfolio
Wallet = your cash sitting idle
Portfolio = actual invested assets
👉 Money only becomes an investment after you buy something
Why your wallet balance may not change immediately
Order not executed yet
Market closed
Price moved (order pending)
⚠️ Common issues
You funded wallet but didn’t click “Buy”
Order placed but not executed due to price mismatch
Minimum trade value not met
Network delay or app lag
💡 Pro tip
Always check:
Order status (Pending / Executed / Failed)
Not just your wallet balance
