Meanwhile, you can also withdraw when there is capital appreciation without holding for long term. It is also imperative to purchase blue-chip stocks, they are big, popular and also pay dividends.  Examples of blue-chip stocks: MTN, Zenith bank, e.t.c.

    Your shares are not lost, they are stored with the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS). Investors are given a CSCS number, and also a Clearing House Number (CHN). CSCS is Nigeria's central depository for stocks, while CHN is your unique identifier assigned to you upon registering with a stockbRead more

    Your shares are not lost, they are stored with the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS).

    Investors are given a CSCS number, and also a Clearing House Number (CHN).

    CSCS is Nigeria’s central depository for stocks, while CHN is your unique identifier assigned to you upon registering with a stockbroker. It’s your ID number in the stock market.

    Your shares are stored with the CSCS under your unique CHN.

    Use your clearing house number (CHN)  to log into the CSCS platform, you can view your holdings via that platform.

    Also, you can also identify the Registrar of your shares and fill the e-dividend mandate form.

    If you have any unclaimed dividend under that stock, it will be visible and you can then claim it.

    Stocks have different Registrars, identify the Registrar of the stocks you held or currently holding and claim your dividend if any…
