If your FGN Bonds for January and March have not reflected on your InvestNaija app, don’t panic yet — this is fairly common and usually happens due to one of these reasons:
Most Common Reasons
1. Allocation Takes Time
After you subscribe to FGN Bonds:
Offer closes
Allocation is processed
Units are credited
Then reflected on app
This can take:
5 — 15 working days
Sometimes 2–3 weeks
Especially for bonds issued by the Debt Management Office Nigeria.
2. It May Already Be in Your CSCS (Not Yet Showing in App)
Sometimes:
Your bond is already allocated
But InvestNaija app hasn’t updated
Check:
Your CSCS statement
Email from InvestNaija
Email from Registrar
3. January Bond Should Normally Have Reflected Already
Since you mentioned:
January bond ❌ not reflected
March bond ❌ not reflected
Then January is more concerning (March may still be processing).
So you should take action.

Your money is most likely NOT lost.
Yes.
But something may still need to be fixed or confirmed.
Let Me Explain With a Simple Story
Imagine you paid for land in January.
And again in March.
But your name has not yet appeared on the official land register.
Does that mean:
• the land is gone?
No.
It means:
✓ the documentation or recording is not yet complete
That is exactly what may be happening here.
Oya… Relax Let Me Explain
When you buy FGN bonds through
Debt Management Office
There are steps before it reflects on your app:
1. Allotment Process
After you subscribe:
✓ the government processes and allocates the bonds
This can take:
• a few days to weeks
2. CSCS Credit
Your bond is then credited to your account with:
Central Securities Clearing System
If there is any issue here:
• it won’t reflect on your app
3. Broker/App Update
Finally:
✓ your broker updates your portfolio
This is what shows on
InvestNaija
Possible Reasons It’s Not Showing
Let’s be very practical.
1. Processing Delay
Sometimes:
• backend updates take time
• especially for bond instruments
2. Wrong or Missing CHN
If your:
• CHN (Clearing House Number)
• or CSCS details
are incorrect or not linked:
✓ it won’t reflect
3. Payment Not Fully Matched
If:
• payment reference has issue
• or bank reconciliation delay
It may not be posted yet.
4. Allocation Issue
Rare, but possible:
• partial or no allotment
What You Should Do NOW (Very Important)
Step 1: Confirm Your Allotment
Check your email for:
• allotment confirmation from broker
Step 2: Request CSCS Statement
This is key.
From:
Central Securities Clearing System
Check if the bond is there.
Step 3: Contact Your Broker Immediately
Reach out to:
InvestNaija
Ask clearly:
• “Has my bond been credited to my CSCS account?”
• “What is the status of my January and March subscriptions?”
Step 4: Provide Proof
Have ready:
• payment receipts
• transaction reference
• subscription details
Let Me Be Honest With You
Most times, this issue is:
✓ delay or record mismatch
Not loss of money.
Final Truth
If:
• you paid correctly
• and subscribed properly
Your bond exists.
It just needs to:
✓ reflect correctly in the system
Let Me Leave You With This
In investing, don’t panic immediately.
Instead ask:
• Has it been allocated?
• Has it been recorded?
• Has it been updated?
Because once you follow the process step by step…
Confusion disappears.
